Crafting 101

witchy poo1. Buy crafting supplies

Anything you can get your hands on.

2. Play

Like when you were a kid.

If you don’t know where to start, my suggestion is Craft Tags. Manila #8 is a good size to start with as these are inexpensive and provide a good base for creating. You can practice on these without needing a final outcome in mind. If you don’t like what you end up with, toss it in the garbage. Or, better yet, cover it with some cardstock and start over.

Some of the products you can use with Craft Tags:

  • Ink Pads (Tim Holtz Distress, StazOn, Stampin Up! …)
  • Ink Sprays (Dylusions, Fireworks…)
  • Acrylic Paint (use with a brush, or water down in a spray bottle)
  • Stencils
  • Masks
  • Stamps (Clear or rubber, mounted or unmounted)
  • Ribbon
  • Tulle
  • Jewelry findings and charms
  • Beads
  • Wire
  • Thread (hand stitch or use sewing machine)
  • Clay (paper or polymer)
  • Die-cuts

Whatever product you choose to use, you are practicing using that product and learning techniques. The point here is to play.

Stay Calm And Craft On!
